UNECE road traffic accident data come from official statistics provided by competent national authorities. Road traffic accident fatalities cover deaths of any person killed immediately or dying within 30 days as a result of a road traffic accident. See the Transport Database for further details. These figures will differ from figures compiled by the World Health Organization (WHO), and published on the Global SDG Indicators Database, due to differing definitions and also due to adjustments made to country data by WHO.
